Library Olympics, part of the Hawaii State Public Library System’s 2016 Summer Reading Program, continues in North Kohala.
Recently, keiki and family created olive leaf wreaths and torches on June 8 and family flags and clay medallions on June 15.
The free fun continues at 1 p.m. Wednesday, as well as June 29, July 6 and July 13, for children ages 6-12 at the North Kohala Public Library.

The Kailua-Kona and Kealakekua libraries are also holding children’s summer reading programs. Scheduled events include:
Kailua-Kona: Build your own terrarium for kindergarten through fifth-graders at 3 p.m. Wednesday; make yourself a healthy snack at 3 p.m. July 6; activity day for toddlers, children and teens at 3 p.m. July 13. The day includes sidewalk chalk, face painting and a scavenger hunt.
Kealakekua: Make paper flowers at 10 a.m. July 1; construct a Jacob’s Ladder toy at 10 a.m. July 9; and get your face pained at 1 p.m. July 16.
